What You'll Be Doing:
  • Develop and implement high-performance AI models for chip design, focusing on AI modeling and training tasks.
  • Architect and optimize algorithms for parallel training and inference using JAX.
  • Conduct exploratory analysis to inform research directions and experimentation.
  • Plan, scope, and execute projects aimed at solving impactful research problems in chip design.
  • Collaborate with internal and external researchers to drive innovation and expand the capabilities of our AI framework.
  • Present research findings and developments clearly and efficiently, both internally and externally.
  • Contribute to the creation of reusable libraries and tools to amplify research impact.
  • Publish research findings and participate in open-source initiatives to share knowledge with the wider community.

What You'll Need:
  • PhD in Computational Science and Engineering, Computational Mathematics, Computational Physics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in using JAX for building high-performance parallel training and inference software (e.g., for diffusion models, transformer architectures, graph neural networks, etc.).
  • Strong quantitative skills in mathematics and statistics.
  • Proven track record of successful research projects at the intersection of AI and physical sciences.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets.
  • Proficiency in common scripting languages and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
