Information Assurance/Security Specialist

Position Description: We are looking for an Information Assurance/Security Specialist with at least 3 years of experience administering IT security controls, accreditations, etc. for RPA/AI programs in the federal government sector. The security specialist will be collaborating closely with a team of developers and cloud architects to facilitate the execution of cognitive solutions to automate functions that would be deemed repetitive in the federal client s digital system. The security specialist will be instrumental in ensuring that the integrations are aligned with federal client s security standards by safeguarding federal automation platforms, cloud infrastructure, and sensitive data. This is a technical role. There is no sponsorship for this position at this time. If selected, the applicant would be subject to undergo the required Personnel Security Clearance Process before starting responsibilities.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Monitor systems for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents.
- Collaborate with program managers, developers, and architects to embed secure design practices.
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and threat modeling.
- Ensure compliance with agency-specific requirements.
- Maintain security documentation and support audits and reviews.
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity trends and technologies.
Required Skills:
- Ability to assess risk across complex systems and design secure architectures.
- Familiarity with secure coding, cloud security, and access control models.
- Strong analytical and incident response capabilities.
- Effective communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT security roles.
- 3 years of experience administering IT security controls, accreditations, etc. for RPA/AI programs in the Federal government sector is required.
- Information System Security Certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP) is required.
- Experience supporting cloud, RPA, or AI projects in secure domains a strong plus.
