WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications):
    • Engineer II: $115,000 - $130,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.
    • Engineer III: $130,000 - $145,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Develop, test, and maintain Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs and event-based services to deliver scalable enterprise solutions.

  • Build cloud & container platform solutions with AWS, Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Develop MuleSoft Experience APIs for Benefit Administration internal and external integrations.

  • Apply dynamic coding practices, ensure clean code quality, and leverage version control and change management for consistency and reliability.

  • Drive modernization initiatives, including cloud-first development and containerized solutions, ensuring scalable, flexible, and future-ready systems.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • 5+ years of experience in Java development in an enterprise environment, with a focus on backend technologies and microservice architectures. Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and advanced software engineering practices.

  • Experience with AWS cloud-based development and scalable system design principles (MSK and Fargate preferred).

  • Strong integration skills, including working with RESTful APIs, AWS microservices and vendor-supplied applications. MuleSoft preferred.

  • Agile mindset with experience in iterative development environments, using tools like JIRA and Confluence.

  • CI/CD build automation experience with GitHub Workflows / Actions and dependency management tools.

  • Able to work on-site in Omaha, Nebraska intermittently. This position is primarily remote.

PREFERRED:

  • Hands-on experience working in MuleSoft.

  • AWS certifications including AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate, Developer Associate, etc.
