What You Will Be Doing

-In this role, the RF Engineer will have the opportunity to support the development and production of complex multi-function modules used in challenging high-reliability applications in all phases of the product life cycle.

-The engineer will work on complex technical problems and provide solutions that are innovative and ingenious.

-The engineer will act independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the implementation of operational products.

-The engineer will have an opportunity to mentor less experienced engineers on our team.

-The engineering will collaborate with other engineering disciplines including hardware engineers, systems engineers, and circuit design engineers as well as technical and manufacturing support personnel.

The Locale:
Chelmsford, Massachusetts is a charming suburb of Boston located about 30 miles northwest of that city. Chelmsford is close to historic Lowell Massachusetts and to Nashua, New Hampshire. Chelmsford is within reach of New Hampshire's White Mountains and awesome ski areas to the north, and the scenic coastal towns of MA and NH are about an hour east. This scenic colonial region offers lots of New England charm, great schools, shopping, and restaurants. Chelmsford and the region share an impressive past from the early days after the pilgrims arrived in Plymouth to the revolutionary war. Where can you get to from Chelmsford? Chelmsford is about 90 minutes from Cape Cod. Boston is about 30 minutes to the east without traffic. New York City is about 4.5 hours away from Chelmsford. Waterville Valley and other major ski resorts of New Hampshire and Vermont are about 2 to 3 hours to the north.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred or BS Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) accepted plus a minimum of 5+ years of relevant professional engineering experience.

Extensive experience with troubleshooting designs and resolving integration issues in a production or manufacturing environment is required.

Experience with the use of RF microwave test equipment and microwave simulation tools is required.

Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.

Candidate must be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance and be able to obtain at least an Interim Secret Clearance before starting the position

Desired skills

An MS in electrical engineering or closely related technical field is desired.

Significant relevant experience in the defense electronics industry is desired.

Expertise with RF subsystems and hardware including antennas, transmitters, receivers, microwave components, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, advanced electronic modules, amplifiers, mixers, switches, frequency generation circuits, and frequency conversion circuits is desired.

Experience with microelectronics assembly techniques is desired.

Expertise with technical documentation such as specifications, schematic drawings, and test date is desired.

Strong communication skills.

Experience with customer interface including technical presentations.

Hands on Hardware Experience

Prior RF design experience is preferred.

Familiar with production and manufacturing environments

Ability to lead failure investigations on production or technical issues.

Ability work in a team collaborative environment especially with manufacturing and industrial engineers and/or operator on production support.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $118,700 - $209,300. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
