Summary:

Responsibilities:
- Provides oral health care, dental health education and remediable intraoral procedures to patients in the hospital clinic or in School Health as prescribed by the Dentist.
- Contributes to the assessment of individual patient care.
- Contributes to the delivery of individual patient care.
- Demonstrates ability to provide age-appropriate care and service to patients from birth to 21 years, and selected adults.
- Participates in the educational, safety and quality efforts of the Dental Practice
- Other duties as required.
Other information:
Technical Expertise
- Experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.
- Experience working with various levels within an organization is required.
- Strong attention to detail and concentration skills is required.
- Experience in healthcare is preferred.
- Experience working in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required.
- Experience and willingness to work with Nitrous Oxide.
Education and Experience
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent and graduate of an accredited dental training program or the equivalent in applicable experiences required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Certification: Licensed to practice dental hygiene in the state of Ohio is required.
- Certified in CPR is required.
- Years of relevant experience: Minimum one year of experience is preferred.
