Job Details

The Bank sponsors individuals for TN and H-1B transfers on a case by case basis. Please note that this position is not open to anyone on a H-1B or F-1 student visa including those eligible for CPT/OPT or the Stem OPT extension.

This role follows a hybrid work schedule; offering the flexibility to work remotely two days a week, while providing the opportunity for onsite and in person collaboration the other three days.

This position is open to Wilmington, DE (or) Bridgeport, CT (or) Buffalo, NY

Overview:

This role sits in M&T's Digital Data Records Retention (DDRR) Program, part of M&T's Enterprise Data Analytics organization. This role is primarily tasked with the development of impactful and visual appealing reports and dashboards using SQL and Business Intelligence tools (i.e. PowerBI). This role will also lend their talents and skills to the mandate of the DDRR Program of identifying, classifying and managing M&T's records and data.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Report and Dashboard Development:
    • Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using PowerBI.
    • Ensure data visualization best practices are followed to create insightful and user-friendly dashboards.
    • Perform data analysis to support business decision-making and provide actionable insights.
    • Continuously improve and optimize existing dashboards based on user feedback and evolving business needs.
  • Requirements Gathering:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders using a variety of tools and methods to gather and document detailed business requirements.
    • Translate business needs into technical specifications for data management and reporting.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Training:
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
    • Conduct training sessions for end-users on PowerBI and data management best practices.
    • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for data-related issues

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 9 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience
  • Experience developing Power BI dashboards to analyze and reports
  • Proficiency in Power BI for data analysis and reporting
  • Experience in system development requirements gathering
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional departments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets, graphing, and presentations with a working knowledge of financial models

Education and Experience Preferred:

Master's Degree

Minimum of 8 years' professional experience

Knowledge of data management practices and/or Bank products, systems and workflows

Knowledge of process improvement methodology and business process management techniques

Proficient in pertinent project and presentation software

Basic SQL programming knowledge
