Job Description

We are looking for an Application Architect to be responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting applications

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with customers, business analysts, and OIT team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions
  • Align technical solutions with business and IT strategies and comply with the Department s architectural standards
  • Work involved in the full systems life cycle
  • Responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting applications software that is delivered on time and within budget
  • Make recommendations towards the development of new code or the reuse of existing code
  • Participating in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation, and buy vs. build recommendations
  • Assist in systems analysis and design, and have a solid understanding of development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of programming/systems analysis experience
  • Experience working closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions
  • Experience in aligning technical solutions with business and IT strategies and complying with the Department s architectural standards
  • Experience in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting applications software that is delivered on time and within budget
  • Experience making recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code
  • Experience participating in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations
  • Experience in systems analysis and design, and have a solid understanding of development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies
  • Highly proficient in both spoken and written English
  • Able to work onsite in Tallahassee, Florida

Preferred:

  • Minimum of five years of Java experience
