Job Title: Training Specialist

Location: Remote

Duration" 6+ Months

Position Overview:
The Project Management Excellence team is seeking a contract Training Specialist with hands-on experience in developing training materials and support the rollout of our new Project Managment Excellence (PME) system. Their key focus will be developing and maintaining training documentation for Project Managers using our latest Smartsheet, Power BI, & Sharepointapplication for managing projects. You will also support the implementation of our Smartsheet application and the transfer of data from our old system to the new system.

This role requires a blend of technical, organizational, and communication skills. A strong background in technical writing and training is must.

This is a highly collaborative role where you ll partner with multiple cross-functional teams distributed across the country and globally. You will use your organization and positive communication skills to work strategically with other team leaders and members across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop training materials for engineers and project managers on new system
  • Create presentation materials (video, PowerPoint, etc.) to explain system functionality, and benefits to a variety of audiences
  • Collect organized repositories for those training materials
  • Provide training to engineers and project managers
  • Support transition of materials from current system to new system
  • Assist in data migration process, ensuring accurate transfer of project information to Smartsheet
  • Setup, manage and own the training SharePoint site as the central hub for resources and updates
  • Collaborate with PME leadership and technical teams to ensure documentation is clear, user-friendly, and aligned with business goals

Education and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in technical writing, content administration, technical documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft tools and applications; including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency with SmartSheet, Microsoft Teams and Sharepoint
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as Miro.
  • Experience creating training materials and delivering training session (virtual and/or in-person)
  • Background in project management process, or systems implementation preferred
  • Experience in data migration or system rollout support
