Job Description:
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with strong experience in Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) system implementations.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Strategy
- Conduct business requirement assessments through leadership and user interviews.
- Research software and service recommendations, evaluating benefits, costs, and risks.
- Lead projects involving COTS software enhancements and integrations.
- Develop use cases, test plans, and perform end-to-end quality assurance.
- Support application users by resolving issues and providing training.
- Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and internal teams on technical solutions.
Communication & Collaboration
- Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and IT teams.
- Deliver regular project status updates and communicate proactively regarding progress and risks.
- Engage with the Applications Program Manager and cross-functional project teams weekly to ensure alignment.
- Promote collaboration, continuous improvement, and open communication across departments.
Personnel and Performance Management
- Participate in quarterly goal setting and performance evaluations.
- Support peers' training and professional development to enhance overall team capability.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst.
- Demonstrated experience with COTS software implementation across full project life cycles.
- Experience in vendor management systems, application integration, or enterprise feature enhancements.
- Strong understanding of financial systems, especially billing and payments.
- Experience meeting audit and compliance requirements for financial systems.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Knowledge of utility business processes preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office, Project, and Visio proficiency.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Leadership and mentoring experience, with project management capabilities.
