Estimator / Project Manager

Responsibilities:

• Civil Engineering estimating and project management of earthwork, earth-retention shoring systems, deep foundations, and ground improvement projects.

• Perform site visits to evaluate site conditions and construction logistics.

• Execute project pre-qualifications as required.

• Clear understanding of project plans & drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports.

• Request and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes.

• Perform quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and bid proposals & budgets.

• Perform Design-Build calculation and modeling.

• Review and assist in negotiating construction scope of work sheets and contracts.

• Prepare project submittals, RFI s and schedules.

• Procurement and scheduling of specialty equipment and required materials.

• Work with field superintendents and foreman to help manage project quality control and cost management.

• Prepare project draft billings and change orders.

• Provide project as-built drawings and required close out paperwork.

• Establish and maintain a good working relationship with clients and ownership.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.

• 3+ years of related experience in civil or geotechnical engineering.

• Project management: 2 years (Preferred).

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Proficiency in using project management software and tools, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Preferred experience with AutoCAD of Agtek.

• Good mathematical and analytical capabilities.

• Basic understanding of construction means and methods.

• Ability to travel to various job sites.

• Valid Driver s License.
