SAIC seeks a highly skilled Geospatial Intelligence Analyst/Engineer. As a Geospatial Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting geospatial data in support of a critical national security mission. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting geospatial data in support of a critical national security mission. You will work closely with a team of analysts and customer stakeholders to identify and prioritize intelligence requirements, develop and maintain geospatial intelligence products, and provide timely and accurate analysis to support decision-making.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and maintain geospatial intelligence products, such as maps, graphics, and reports, to support critical national security missions
- Incorporate both GIS and graphic design software workflows to design and generate custom mapping products with knowledge or coordinate systems, projections, and cartographic design principles to communicate data and analyses
- Research and compile existing raster and vector data from both open source and government agencies, including environmental data, infrastructure, and international boundaries and claims; generate new datasets from intelligence reports and research
- Generate and maintain complex spatial databases to be used in analyses and cartographic end products; perform quality assurance and quality control of topology, attributes, and associated metadata
- Model map layers, perform spatial analysis, generate reports, and perform quality control procedures using GIS software
- Stay up-to-date with emerging geospatial intelligence trends, technologies, and methodologies. Apply this knowledge to improve analysis and products.
- Collaborate with researchers and analysts to provide GIS support to customers, including briefings, reports, and other products
Qualifications
- Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly security clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant area
- 5 years of experience as a Geospatial Analyst/Engineer
- Minimum of 14 years of relevant experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment to effectively communicate complex geospatial concepts to non-technical customers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and provide insightful recommendations
- Knowledge of spatial analysis techniques, coordinate systems, and data management best practices
- Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Desktop, and related ESRI software
- Proficiency working with various geospatial data formats (vector, raster, geodatabase, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Familiarity with scripting within ArcGIS
