Data Scientist/Data Engineer

We are assisting our direct financial client in their search for a mid-level Data Scientist. 

This is a hybrid (2 days onsite) role in Morristown, NJ.  Looking for candidates local to the NY/NJ area.  There is no relocation assistance being provided. 

This is not a senior level role. Our client is seeking someone with about 3 - 5 years of data related experience (data modeling / data analysis / reporting).  MUST have some financial industry and / or banking industry experience.

The successful candidate will have experience in the following:

• Hands-on experience in data modelling, data engineering and data analysis tools such as BI tools, Power BI, SQL, Python (pandas, numpy)
• Working knowledge in developing reports and dashboards in Power BI or Tableau
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and execute multiple objectives
• Ability to identify key insights and present results to a business audience
• Financial Services experience and knowledge of retail banking industry, products, and data highly desired
• Advanced knowledge of data structures and the ability to visualize data effectively to communicate to a business audience
• Experience working independently with business partners.
