Join our dynamic team at Aspire General Insurance, a leading player in the auto insurance industry, leveraging cutting-edge technology with data to produce products for our user base. This position requires someone with knowledge of Actuarial reserving, reinsurance and pricing, to work side-by-side with the finance, underwriting, claims and IT department.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

Using automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources

Performing analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data

Filter Data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct code problems

Using statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets could be helpful for the diagnosis and prediction

Analyzing local, national, and global trends that impact both the organization and the industry

Preparing reports for the management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data

Working with programmers, engineers, and management heads to identify process improvement opportunities.

Preparing final analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends. Collaboration with business leaders and managers in the Claims Department to deeply understand their software and reporting needs;

Build and maintain models to estimate ultimate loss costs, often using techniques like loss development triangles.

Analyze large datasets to identify trends, develop factors, and assess loss characteristics.

Work with underwriting, claims, finance, and other teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment on reserving assumptions.

Support audits and provide documentation and analysis for external regulators.

Report to management as soon there is an awareness of any issues or concerns which may be detrimental to the department or Company;

Maintain that sensitive information regarding employees and the Company is kept confidential;

Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

Advanced data knowledge, Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or Statistics.

Minimum of 5 - 7 years' experience is desired.

Skills:

Solid understanding of Actuarial concepts, up to exam 5 concepts

Experience with R or python

Strong knowledge of relational databases and experience with SQL Server or similar database systems.

Familiarity with Business intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Relevant certifications such as working towards ACAS or FCAS are a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

1. This is an exempt position which complies with alternative work schedule when applicable;

2. The office is that of a highly technical company supporting a paperless environment;;

3. Vision abilities to work at close range and with small print;

4. Physical efforts required include, but may not be limited to, repetitive small motor activity, grasping, ability to sit for extended periods of time; up to 6-8 hours per day, verbally communicating detailed and important information to others quickly and accurately, stooping, reaching, and standing

Salary Description

$150,000-175,000 annually plus bonus eligible
