Commercial Alarm Technician

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled technician capable of installing cabling, field equipment, and control equipment enclosures in customer locations according to the National Electric Code, company, and customer guidelines. The ideal candidate will:

• Use electronic test equipment to solve complex problems during installation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
• Have knowledge of computer programs including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, CCTV, and access control systems.
• Plan, organize, and prioritize work with close attention to detail.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, while establishing and maintaining coordinated working relationships.
• Analyze information effectively.
• Work unsupervised to complete installation jobs and be self-motivated to complete tasks.
• Be responsible for the installation of complex integrated security systems, including wiring, equipment, and programming of access control systems, CCTV, digital recorders, network recorders, and intercom systems for clients.

• Experience with access control and burglar alarm systems.

• Advanced TCP/IP networking skills.
• Computer literacy.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
