Key Responsibilities:
Own the full lifecycle for POS and payment hardware across caf and drive-thru operations.
Partner with business stakeholders, UX teams, and engineering to define product vision, KPIs, and usability standards.
Lead hardware requirements documentation and guide placement, performance, and accessibility criteria.
Evaluate and select vendor solutions for hardware (RFIs, demos, etc.).
Collaborate with UI/UX on hardware touchpoint features (e.g., cash drawers, displays, MSRs).
Prioritize across a complex roadmap of deliverables and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
Manage cross-functional relationships to ensure seamless integration of hardware with broader software systems.
Communicate product updates, technical specifications, trade-offs, and decisions to senior leadership and steering committees.
Oversee end-to-end delivery and adoption of POS hardware enhancements with measurable business impact.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in technology, engineering, or related field.
10+ years of experience in retail technology, specifically store-level and payment systems.
5+ years of hands-on experience delivering POS/payment hardware solutions in quick-service or high-volume retail.
Expertise in writing user stories, prioritizing backlogs, and agile release planning.
Experience managing large-scale, multi-store hardware rollouts.
Solid understanding of both edge and backend architecture related to POS systems.
Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making.
Skilled in executive communication, stakeholder alignment, and conflict resolution.
Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and analytics platforms.
Certified Product Owner (preferred).
Travel may be required based on project needs.
