Job at a glance:

Job Description 
Position: System Analyst (Pi System)
Prince William Water is seeking an experience System Analyst to support OSIsoft PI System infrastructure and data flows. Prince William Water uses Aveva OSIsoft PI, SEEQ, and Microsoft 
Power BI to provide real and near real-time reporting of time series data from our SCADA systems to meet operational and regulatory reporting requirements. 

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements 
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or related field. 
• Knowledge of Pi system infrastructure and administration, Pi AF, and SCADA systems, 
• Three years of relevant experience, preferably within a water utility. 

Must possess:
• Ability installs, configure, and upgrade PI System components (PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework (AF), PI Vision, PI Interfaces/Connectors).
• Ability to create and maintain complex visualizations and reports using OSI Pi, sourcing data from the SCADA. 
• Ability to integrate Pi system with other systems; and manage, and troubleshoot data flowing from SCADA, PLCs, etc.
• Experience working with PI SQL Client, OLEDB, ODBC, or PI Web API for data integration.
• Ability to troubleshoot data flow issues from interfaces/connectors and monitor server health, performance and data availability. 
• Ability to set up and maintain PI tags, points, and AF models; and validate and ensure data quality.
• Ability to develop naming conventions, hierarchies, and metadata standards.
• Ability to configure event frames and notifications for alarms or KPIs.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and troubleshooting data issues.
• Analytical skills, including the ability to think critically.
• Experience supporting reporting and analytics tools that consume PI (Power BI and Seeq).
• Ability to connect Power BI to multiple data sources (SQL Server, Oracle, Excel, APIs, cloud data).
• Ability to provide operational support and resolve incidents to include regular system backups, patching, and disaster recovery testing and generate performance and health reports.
• Train and support end users in PI Vision.
• Experience developing runbooks, SLAs, and SOPs to support knowledge sharing and redundancy. 

Experience leading projects, including: 
• Identifying risks and dependencies between operational tasks and ongoing projects. 
• Breaking down tasks into activities, schedules, and durations within a project lifecycle. 
• Leading and facilitating collaborative, productive, and efficient project meetings. 
• Demonstrated willingness to embrace changing technology landscapes and quickly learn new 
skills. 
• Effective collaborator who proactively explores emerging technologies that may benefit the organization. 
• Ability to mentor and review the work of another team member. 
• Ability to work onsite 3 days per week (5 days total workweek).
