Job Description:

Sr Infrastructure Project Manager

Onsite in Richmond, VA (1 week on, 1 week off)

1 year+ contract
  • The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of the project including proper hardware retirement and refresh
  • Provide comprehensive project plans, maintain action items, and manage scope/schedule/budget
  • Experience managing Network Refresh projects and implementing and stablishing new connectivity efforts
  • Provides a high-level planning, tracking and coordination skills to ensure Networking decommission and refresh project is carried out to plan, through data compilation, report generation and project tracking and communication
  • Oversee the daily risks, issues/problems, and activity progress to ensure goals are achieved
  • Notifies project participants on timelines and completion dates
  • Organizes and publishes project related documentation in various sources
  • Tracks costs and performance, service levels and other metrics required to ensure project goals and objectives are met
  • Ability to pull together multiple related and unrelated areas to provide a comprehensive program and project oversight
  • Develop and maintain project work plans
  • Establish and report on program level metrics and KPIs
  • Develop and implement a communication plan and coordinate regular communication with business stakeholders
  • Lead workload and task management across the various teams
  • Responsible for managing the overall performance and delivery of large/cross-functional programs/projects; including scope, schedule, risks, issues, and budget
  • Provide program governance with clear and consistent communication of program level and project level status throughout the organization at all levels
  • Ensure that issues and risks are identified, communicated to project sponsors and stakeholders early and proactively managed in a manner that mitigates risk to scope, cost, and schedule
  • Manage interdependencies and effective communication channels between all existing projects, key initiatives, and stakeholders
  • Mitigate risk to network services in environment
  • Drive the optimal use of networks technology
  • Improve project governance to embed standard processes
  • Prioritize the refresh networks projects pipeline based on business risk
