Travel Technician - Nationwide Deployment
Summary:
We are hiring Travel Technicians for nationwide assignments involving the installation of low-voltage cabling and network equipment, including IP cameras, wireless access points, routers, and switches. This role requires 100% travel, with project durations ranging from 2 to 8 months. Technicians will work in pairs, typically 6 days per week, and must be self-motivated and reliable.

Summary:
We are hiring Travel Technicians for nationwide assignments involving the installation of low-voltage cabling and network equipment, including IP cameras, wireless access points, routers, and switches. This role requires 100% travel, with project durations ranging from 2 to 8 months. Technicians will work in pairs, typically 6 days per week, and must be self-motivated and reliable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and terminate low-voltage cabling (CAT5, CAT6) in commercial environments.
- Set up network hardware such as switches, routers, WAPs, and CCTV systems.
- Follow installation guidelines and safety codes when pulling and securing cable.
- Perform conduit work, drill through concrete, and install cable support structures (e.g., j-hooks, racks).
- Test and troubleshoot cable systems and network components.
- Maintain clean and organized cabling according to safety standards.
- Complete work orders and manage tools and equipment responsibly.
- Adhere to OSHA and client-specific safety protocols, including PPE requirements.
- Operate scissor lifts and work at heights as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Data Cable Technician.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the U.S. and attend orientation in Lowell, AR.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces.
- Comfortable working overnight shifts (7 PM - 7 AM, 5 days/week).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no DUI/DWI in past 3 years).
- Familiarity with tools such as punch down tools, toners/probes, pliers, and screwdrivers.
- Must provide steel-toed boots; other PPE provided.
