About the Role:

The Experienced Maintenance Technician with HVAC Certification plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal operation and upkeep of all mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems within Lakeside Central Apartments. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to maintain a safe, comfortable, and efficient living environment for residents. The technician will proactively identify potential issues and implement preventative measures to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Collaboration with property management and vendors is essential to coordinate repairs and upgrades while minimizing disruption to residents. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the overall satisfaction and retention of tenants by maintaining high standards of facility functionality and safety.

Maintenance Technician Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid HVAC certification recognized by the state of Florida.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Maintenance Technician Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in apartment or property management settings.
  • Basic knowledge of appliance repair and carpentry.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and other mechanical equipment throughout the apartment complex.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions or breakdowns promptly to restore systems to full operation.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory to ensure compliance and efficient workflow.
  • Respond to resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner, providing clear communication and effective solutions.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or system upgrades as needed.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
