A Jutro Engineer is a specialized software engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining digital solutions within the Guidewire Digital Jutro Platform, a specific framework used primarily in the insurance industry. They develop user-facing applications and ensure seamless integration with back-end systems and third-party services.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and implement applications using Guidewire Jutro in alignment with enterprise architecture and UI/UX standards.
Develop and maintain reusable front-end components using React, Angular, or other modern frameworks.
Integrate Jutro applications with Guidewire Cloud services, REST APIs, and microservices.
Ensure applications meet performance, accessibility, security, and compliance requirements.
Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
Collaborate with architects, product owners, and QA to deliver features on time within Agile ceremonies.
Contribute to continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment practices.
Maintain awareness of Guidewire platform updates, Jutro enhancements, and industry best practices.
Required Capabilities:
8+ years of front-end development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
Hands-on experience with Guidewire Jutro (component configuration, theming, application development).
Proficiency in React, Angular, or equivalent frameworks.
Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter integrations
Strong understanding of API integration, microservices, and service-oriented architectures.
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based deployments
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in regulated industries (Insurance and/or Financial Services).
Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies and value-stream based organization structures.
Technical leadership and mentoring skills.
Effective communication across technical and non-technical stakeholder.
