U.S. Bank is seeking a full-time Principal Software Engineer (Multiple openings) in Irving, TX.

Essential Responsibilities:

Serve as the technical lead for frontend development, providing expertise in modern web technologies and cloud-based solutions. Act as the subject matter expert for authentication mechanisms and frontend architecture, ensuring integration with backend systems for seamless user experiences. Specific duties include the following:

  • Lead frontend development projects leveraging React.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and CSS for building intuitive user interfaces.
  • Guide the team in unit testing and quality assurance practices using Jest and React Testing Library to maintain high code standards.
  • Spearhead projects involving authentication technologies such as Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and other security protocols.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with backend, data layer, and service teams using Kafka, Java SpringBoot, Mongo DB, and Cassandra to ensure smooth integration across services and enhance user experience.
  • Manage a cross-functional team, navigating complex project dependencies and ensuring on-time delivery for high-quality, secure, and scalable frontend services.
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable services in cloud environments like Azure and Amazon AWS, ensuring robust performance.
  • Ensure frontend deliverables are successfully integrated into the final customer-facing product, aligned with project requirements.
  • Mentor and coach engineers on design, architecture, and security best practices, focusing on technologies such as encryption, cryptography, SSO, and MFA.
  • Utilize tools and platforms like APIGEE, Flex ID, React.js, Next.js, Adobe AppDynamics, Splunk, and Kibana for application development, monitoring, and optimization.
  • Participating in investigation, analysis, and resolution of technical problems related to system functions, programming, and procedures.
  • Design architecture and maintain comprehensive documentation using tools like Microsoft Vizio and Draw.io.
  • Provide technical oversight and lead comprehensive reviews to ensure alignment with security and performance standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Serve as a liaison between Agile teams, product managers, engineering leaders, and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals.
  • Leverage Machine learning and AI algorithms like neural networks and regression to optimize customer experiences.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 3 years software development experience.

Required Skills/Experience:

Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: 1) Utilizing the following technologies: React.js, Redux, JavaScript, Git, Jenkins Docker, Webpack, Kubernetes, NGINX, and Cassandra. 2) Experience with design, architecture, and security principles and frameworks including Encryption, Cryptography, SSO, OAuth, Certificates, Hashing, LDAP, SAML, MFA, OIDC, and FIDO2. 3) Cloud computing using cloud technologies including Azure and AWS. 4) Experience with working on backend technologies like Java SpringBoot, Node.js, GraphQL and API gateways. Will accept experience gained before, during or after Master's program. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently.

Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $127,878 - $155,000. (#LI-NDI #LI-DNI #LI-DNP #DE-DNP).
