Computer Operations Manager Onsite Celebration, FL

Location: Celebration, FL (100% Onsite)
Type: Long-term Contract (Multi-year)
Work Hours: Mon Fri, between 7 AM 6 PM (rotation/on-call)
Travel: 25% 40% to local client sites

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Computer Operations Manager to lead IT operations, service delivery, and technical support across a large enterprise environment. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and experience managing teams responsible for production support and daily IT operations.

This is a fully onsite, long-term opportunity supporting mission-critical infrastructure and end-user technology.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of technical teams: scheduling, performance monitoring, and incident management.
  • Ensure operational support coverage and adherence to SLAs.
  • Oversee system performance, availability, and timely issue resolution.
  • Lead deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of IT assets (desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, servers).
  • Drive IT service management processes: Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.
  • Oversee enterprise-wide rollouts, software updates, and patch management.
  • Improve service desk performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide advanced technical support for hardware/software installations, upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform network and telephony support; provide on-site help for remote troubleshooting teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop technical staff, supervisors, and project leaders.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Create and maintain documentation for procedures, resolutions, and standards.
  • Travel to remote sites as needed to resolve issues or deploy equipment (25% 40%).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varied physical conditions (ladder climbing, bending, crawling, etc.).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of IT experience, including managing teams responsible for IT operations and production support.
  • Strong expertise in enterprise IT operations, service delivery, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Experience with IT asset management, hardware/software deployment, and patch management.
  • Hands-on experience with network and telephony support.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments.
