Position Title: Sr IT Asset Management Analyst

Location: Sugarland, TX (ONSITE)

The IT Asset Management Analyst is responsible for developing and overseeing the lifecycle management of the organization's IT assets, including hardware, software, and related infrastructure. This role ensures compliance with licensing agreements, minimizes risk, optimizes asset utilization, and drives cost efficiency across the IT portfolio. The candidate will work closely with procurement, finance, security, and IT operations to establish best practices and governance policies. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and experience defining and implementing IT Asset Management policy, a customer service mindset, strong leadership skills, critical thinking ability, and a strategic mindset to enhance service efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop IT asset management strategy aligned with business and IT objectives.
  • Establish and enforce ITAM policies, standards, and processes based on industry best practices (e.g., ITIL, ISO 27001).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to mature the asset management lifecycle.
  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of IT assets from procurement through disposal.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and configuration data in the CMDB and/or ITAM tools.
  • Coordinate with procurement and vendors to track software and hardware purchases, renewals, and warranties.
  • Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and contractual obligations.
  • Lead internal and external IT asset audits.
  • Manage software license usage to minimize legal and financial exposure.
  • Support IT budgeting and forecasting through accurate asset tracking and reporting.
  • Identify cost savings opportunities through asset reuse, license optimization, and contract consolidation.
  • Collaboration & Communication
  • Partner with IT operations, procurement, finance, and legal teams to align asset management with broader business objectives.
  • Manage relationships with mobile carriers and telecom providers to oversee contracts, billing, service plans, and escalations.
  • Monitor mobile usage patterns, optimize plans to control costs, and report on data consumption, roaming, and usage anomalies.
  • Support users with mobile device upgrades, replacements, and service requests.
  • Enforce mobile security policies including remote wipe, and application controls.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and insights on asset performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure execution, service effectiveness and drive improvements.

Qualifications Education & Experience

  • Enter required and preferred educational requirements and prior work experience requirements to perform this position below:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a technology related field.
  • 7+ years of IT experience, including leadership experience.
  • Experience with ITAM tools such as ServiceNow, Flexera, Snow Software.
  • Experience with software licensing models
  • Experience with reporting, monitoring and managing operational SLAs, Metrics, KPIs
