Job Description

Lead the capital engineering organization in the US for the Filtration & Separation Division within Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. Manage $30-40M/year of capital investment allocation to support business growth and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a world-class team of engineers and project managers to successfully implement capital projects across our network. Provide outstanding leadership, mentoring, and direction to ensure project implementation aligns with business strategy.
  • Serve as a key liaison to Business and Operations Leaders, ensuring project execution and results align with the capital investment strategy.
  • Collaborate with other engineering/operations department managers to manage distribution of work assignments, achieving overall business objectives.
  • Apply proven standards, guidelines, and procedures to meet timing, budgetary, and functional needs of each project.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, regulatory, intellectual property, and accounting requirements.
  • Provide direct project management support for large capital projects >$2M.
  • Manage workforce vendors and contracts effectively.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher AND 10 years of experience in capital management, project management, and people leadership in a private, public, government, or military environment.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience/accreditation.
  • Two years of managerial experience leading technical teams.
  • Experience leading large cross-functional projects with proficiency in project management skills to empower and align resources.
  • Proven track record to influence, negotiate, and achieve consensus to drive decisions across the organization.
  • Ability to operate at strategic and operational levels.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to achieve outstanding results while navigating ambiguity.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Minnesota is $130,000.00-$194,950.00.
