Job Details

We are looking for an experienced software engineer to build online Experimentation platforms to empower Apple engineers in delivering great user experiences. We are addressing key challenges to accelerate the adoption of ML across all the OSes and Apple products/services operating at the scale of 2+ billion devices. Our work is complex, challenging and highly visible. Collaborate with data scientists and OS engineers to build data applications that provide reliable and timely insights for Apple's most exciting applications & services.

Description The mission for Measurement organization is to measure, understand and proactively improve all Apple features. As part of the org, you will be responsible for designing, implementing features & building platforms to enable on-device and device/server side combined ML workflows. For example, build service to rollout / rollback experiments to billions of devices in just few hours, build highly scalable systems to process billions of events daily. You will be responsible for setting technical direction for the team, driving engineering quality for the platforms and providing mentorship to junior engineers. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners, customers and the team to build platform roadmap for next 2-3 years.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience building scalable micro-services
  • Experience with Object oriented programming languages like Java / Python
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Kafka or similar technologies
  • Experience working in large cross-functional projects
  • Experience with online Experimentation systems
  • Experience with SQL / NoSQL databases
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and defining/driving best practices for technical design, code reviews, etc.
  • Experience with Javascript and UI frameworks/libraries like React, Ember, Angular, D3 is a plus
  • M.S. in Computer Science or a related field
  • 5+ years of industry experience or (B.S. and 7+ years of industry experience)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Machine Learning platforms is a plus

Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
