Description
We are looking for an experienced Lead Developer to join our CAD team in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge software solutions for design-facing applications used in housing construction. This is a long-term contract position offering an exciting opportunity to work with advanced technologies and contribute to impactful projects.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development of software applications for design-facing CAD systems, focusing on housing construction and truss layouts.
Utilize C++, C#, and the .NET Framework to design, implement, and optimize software solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of on-premise and cloud-based systems.
Develop and maintain unit tests to ensure software reliability and performance.
Translate user requirements into functional and technical specifications.
Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced developers, fostering growth and development within the team.
Write software for CAD systems such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks, leveraging transferable skills to enhance functionality.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices in software development.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in software development.
Requirements
Proficiency in C++, C#, and the .NET Framework.
Hands-on experience with CAD systems such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks.
Strong understanding of software development principles, including abstraction and unit testing.
Familiarity with hybrid on-premise and cloud-based ecosystems.
Ability to translate user requirements into functional solutions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
A background in civil engineering is preferred but not required, provided the candidate possesses solid software development skills.
