Job Details

Position Title: Engineering Technician

Location: San Diego, CA 92121

Duration: 6 Months 100% Onsite

Basic Qualifications:

  • BSEE or BSCE, ideally Electronics Degree, Electronics Certificate, CET, or Military equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience
Required Skills:
  • Familiarity with RF circuits, complex digital circuits, Unix and/or DOS, and mechanical troubleshooting
  • In-depth knowledge of test equipment
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working in a matrix team structure
  • Experience with workplace communication tools such as MS Teams, Slack, or Discord, along with Microsoft 365 Enterprise and Workday

Role and responsibilities:

  • Perform chipset evaluation based upon engineering specifications
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical circuits as well as mechanical equipment relating to the testing of chipsets
  • Work closely with the engineering staff to perform tests on chipsets and provide analysis of test results
  • Setup bench testing of chipsets and test equipment used in manufacturing and software design
  • Ability to multitask several tasks throughout a 12-hour work shift
  • Perform well in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to follow detailed engineering directions

Job description:

The Engineering Technician will be responsible for performing chipset evaluations, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment, and working closely with engineering staff to analyze test results. The role requires multitasking, working in a fast-paced environment, and minimal supervision. The technician should have excellent troubleshooting skills and an in-depth understanding of test equipment and engineering directions.
