Job Details

Job Description:

  • The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing electrical parts, modules, and subsystems that contribute to the design and performance of complex systems.
  • This role involves end-to-end ownership of the electrical design process from requirements definition and feasibility analysis through detailed design, prototyping, testing, and handoff to manufacturing.
  • The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical expertise, hands-on problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical parts, modules, and subsystems supporting overall system architecture.
  • Drive the complete design process including requirements gathering, feasibility studies, cost estimation, and project scheduling.
  • Conduct detailed hands-on testing and analyses, including circuit, timing, electrical load, and thermal/cooling assessments.
  • Utilize industry-standard design tools such as OrCAD, PSpice, or similar for conceptual and detailed design.
  • Prepare detailed design documentation including schematics, drawings, and design review presentations.
  • Procure prototype components, perform system integration, and support prototype testing activities.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, optical, software, systems, and manufacturing engineering teams to ensure seamless integration at subsystem and system levels.
  • Develop and maintain supporting technical documentation such as assembly instructions, test procedures, and service manuals.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure design requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and met.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve product issues throughout all phases of development and production.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reliability, and performance.

Experience:

  • Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in electrical design and development, preferably in a system-level engineering environment.
  • Strong proficiency in circuit design, analysis, simulation, and PCB design tools (e.g., OrCAD, PSpice).
  • Experience with DFX/DFM/DFT practices and EMC/EMI compliance.
  • Solid understanding of thermal management, power distribution, and signal integrity principles.
  • Experience with prototype build, testing, and system integration.
  • Excellent documentation, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead design activities, manage suppliers, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Skills:

  • Electrical design and development
  • Circuit design/Electrical Design
  • OrCAD, PSpice

Education:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
