Job Title: AutoSys Admin Location: Plano, TX Duration: Long Term Contract
Job Description:
The AutoSys Administrator is a key member of the IT Operations team responsible for the management, monitoring, and support of the enterprise batch scheduling environment using CA Workload Automation AE (AutoSys).
Core Responsibilities
Create, modify, and manage batch job definitions, calendars, and dependencies using JIL (Job Information Language) and the Web Command Center (WCC).
Proactively monitor the AutoSys environment and all scheduled jobs. Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve job failures and other production incidents promptly to minimize downtime.
Perform installation, patching, upgrades, and configuration of the AutoSys server components and agents on UNIX/Linux and Windows platforms.
Develop and maintain scripts (Shell/Python/Perl) for job execution, automated system health checks, and streamlining administrative tasks.
Work with application development and support teams to onboard new workflows, integrate applications, and perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.
Required Qualifications
Hands-on experience as an AutoSys Administrator/Scheduler.
Strong proficiency with AutoSys JIL, command-line utilities, and core job types.
Experience with UNIX/Linux and Windows operating system environments.
Working knowledge of shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills for quick issue resolution and cross-team collaboration.
