GavinHeath is partnering with a client in Centennial, CO looking to add a Controller to their team. The role is a Full-Time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Fixed Assets.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and tax consultants, preparing schedules and providing necessary data to support audits and filings.
  • Oversee monthly and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations, variance analysis, and journal entries.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial and management reports, including Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow reports.
  • Maintain and enforce strong internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and GAAP.
  • Oversee local, state, and federal reporting and tax filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review all disbursements, expense reports, and payroll processing for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage billing and collections, ensuring timely receivables and addressing overdue balances.
  • Design and develop operational and management reports to support business decision-making.
  • Support monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and capital expenditure tracking.
  • Maintain and optimize ERP and financial systems, identifying process improvement and automation opportunities.
  • Ensure integrity of accounting systems, processes, and data.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and communicate regularly with the CFO regarding ongoing projects and challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on accounting managerial experience, including 3 5 years in Public Accounting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and systems; proficiency with Syteline ERP and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong team orientation and customer service focus.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to ensure GAAP compliance and manage audit processes effectively.
  • Positive, proactive attitude and ability to lead without formal authority.

  • MBA
