For over 70 years, RTX BBN Technologies (BBN) has solved challenging problems through research, exploration, development, and prototyping. BBN's Network & Cyber Technologies (NCT) team leverages computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, math, and physics to tackle customer challenges in electromagnetic warfare (EW), communications, cybersecurity, cyberspace operations, networking, and RF domains for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) customers. To be eligible for a SkillBridge Fellowship, you must meet the following requirements:

• Must be eligible to participate in Fellowship per DoD Instruction 1322.29.
• Must be projected to receive an honorable discharge from the military.
• Must have all TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date.
• Must receive approval from the Unit Commander or O4+ in the chain of command.
• Must be located within a commutable distance or willing/approved to relocate to the job location.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Demonstrated passion for technology
• Solid, creative programming skills using one or more of: C/C++, Python, or equivalent languages
• Coursework and/or experience designing, developing, modifying, and debugging software or hardware systems or prototypes, with concrete examples of coding projects
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in relevant technology topics
• Active Top Secret security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer - Familiar with all, Expert in some:

• Familiarity with security concepts (confidentiality/integrity/availability, authentication/authorization, etc.)
• Experience building software for embedded devices and consumer electronics (e.g. ARM, Arduino/Raspberry Pi, Linux, Windows OS, Android, iOS)
• Understanding of OS internals (e.g., Windows, Linux, MacOS, Android)
• Understanding of cyber-physical systems security considerations
• Experience with disassemblers (e.g., IDA pro, Ghidra)
• Experience using debuggers such as gdb or WinDbg
• Understanding binary or systems reverse engineering
• TCP/IP networking fundamentals and tools (e.g., iptables, firewalls, tcpdump, wireshark, packet analysis)
• Internet security protocols (e.g., TLS/SSL)
• Signal processing
• Software Defined Radio experience
• Experience applying the scientific method to challenging mission problems
• Active Top Secret security clearance with polygraph

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
