Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our client to support cross-functional initiatives that enhance data integrity, streamline system functionality, and improve business performance. This hybrid, temporary-to-hire role in Philadelphia, PA offers the opportunity to partner with product, engineering, and business teams to translate complex requirements into actionable technical solutions. The Analyst will play a key role in analyzing data flows, optimizing system connectivity, and ensuring clarity between business needs and development execution.

Work Schedule:
Monday Friday, standard business hours.

Key Responsibilities of the Business Systems Analyst:

  • Lead requirement discovery sessions, consolidate business needs, and translate them into structured functional and technical documentation that guides development efforts.
  • Analyze data pipelines and table structures using BigQuery and SQL to validate datasets, map data transformations, and ensure accurate inputs for analytics and system enhancements.
  • Support reporting initiatives by defining dashboard specifications, aligning data sources, preparing mockups, and collaborating with developers to integrate visualizations into internal platforms.
  • Evaluate API, file, and web-based interactions by reviewing documentation, identifying correct endpoints, parsing JSON/XML outputs, and troubleshooting dependencies across systems.
  • Contribute to process mapping, gap assessment, and UAT coordination to validate new features, ensure system accuracy, and drive iterative improvements.

Qualifications and Skills for the Business Systems Analyst:

  • Experience in business systems analysis, ideally 3 5 years within healthcare or insurance, with the ability to interpret complex transactional processes.
  • Advanced proficiency with BigQuery and SQL, including querying, joins, data validation, and mapping across multiple datasets.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, web technologies, and front-end frameworks, with the ability to assess technical feasibility and support UI/UX validation.
  • Skilled in creating and interpreting reporting requirements; familiarity with Tableau, Looker, or similar visualization tools is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management abilities, with comfort working in agile, fast-paced delivery cycles.
