Job Title : Design & Release Engineer for Brake Subsystems

Location:Dearborn, Mi

Duration: Full Time

Job Description

  • The Brakes Engineer is responsible for delivery of variable brake systems and components. Responsibilities include the design and package of components, overall system performance, cost, weight, timing and quality.
  • The engineer leads component and system design and development, validating and signing off all key brake performance and attribute requirements.
  • Must have experience with Catia V5
  • Running vehicle tests and bench tests for specific functions.
  • Working with brake development engineers for refining functional characteristics of the brake components, system, features and the vehicle.
  • The engineer manages supplier delivery and performance.
  • Serve as a leader and representative of brake engineering to interfacing organizations
  • Investigate cost opportunities for current production subsystems. Find efficiencies and/or complexity reductions in the design such that cost is saved at the vehicle level. Help deliver the brake department TVM objective for the calendar year.
  • Mechanical Engineer
