Job Title: Senior Technical Project Coordinator
Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid 2+ days onsite)
Duration: 6 months (potential for extension)
Role Overview
The Senior Technical Project Coordinator will assist in the completion of projects designed to support strategic initiatives and technology programs. This role is responsible for delivering small projects/programs and supporting district-wide initiatives. The coordinator will streamline and improve project workflows, support communications and reporting, and collaborate with Project Managers on technical and/or strategic projects.
The ideal candidate will have strong facilitation, communication, and organizational skills, as well as experience managing technical projects across diverse teams.
Responsibilities
- Deliver small-scale projects/programs and assist with larger district-wide initiatives.
- Streamline project processes, refine project plans and timelines, and identify risks or constraints.
- Support communication, reporting, and project documentation.
- Partner with Project Managers and technical teams to ensure effective project delivery.
- Facilitate meetings, training sessions, and events for staff, students, families, and community members.
- Act as liaison between stakeholders and technical teams to support decision-making.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and schedules.
- Ensure confidentiality, tact, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3 5 years of experience in project management or project coordination (5 years preferred).
- Bachelor s degree in education, business, technology, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 2 years of experience facilitating meetings for diverse groups (in-person and virtual).
- Technical Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of technical systems and the project lifecycle.
- Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Teams, SharePoint, Forms, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with culturally diverse groups and apply culturally competent practices.
Desired Experience & Certifications
- 1 year of experience in an educational or similar environment (highly desired).
- Certifications:
- PMI Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) highly desired.
- ITIL Foundation 4 a plus.
