Global Trade Advisory Consultant
BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Global Trade Advisory Consultant for a REMOTE /HYBRID opportunity!
Position Title: Global Trade Advisory Consultant
Location: Remote /Hybrid
Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Expected Duration: Initial 5 month-contract
Job Type: Contract
Pay Range: $67/hr-$71/hr
Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).
Job Description:
The position involves supporting the day-to-day trade operations of a company's global business. This is a diverse and fast-paced role in a dynamic environment that will involve technical trade analysis, stakeholder management, creative-thinking, and project ownership.
This position requires remote and/or on-site support Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm PST (to be confirmed by client). The role is predominantly remote/hybrid.
The responsibilities of the role include:
Working with the business to manage all international shipping requests.
Assistance with post-entry audit
Ensuring that all international shipments are being compliantly imported and exported.
End-to-end management of the compliance aspects of international trade.
Managing international shipments in global trade solutions.
Working with a global team of trade specialists to ensure operations are working efficiently.
Classifying goods for import and export purposes.
Working with customs brokers to ensure goods are cleared in a timely and compliant manner.
Understanding Other Government Reporting requests and the type of information required (i.e. FDA approval)
Identifying the need for import and export authorizations and working with the relevant parties to obtain these authorizations.
Assistance with preparation of export licenses and export license applications.
Analyzing and reconciling trade data to produce reports to meet government reporting requirements.
Building relationships with key stakeholders across the Tech Giant's business.
Assistance with coordination of internal logistics, external manufacturers and 3PLs for datasheets, end-user letters, stamps, etc.
Managing these relationships and acting as an ambassador for the Trade Operation's team.
Knowledge of SAP is helpful but not required.
Description:
Help importers and exporters achieve worldwide global trade compliance and realize efficiencies and advantages in their global supply chain.
Work with clients to assess and transform their international trade management procedures globally.
Assist with the planning, assessment, and exploration of automated import and export solutions.
Provide Customs audit assistance.
Be part of a global team that advises US and multinational companies on global import and export strategies and compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's, Degree in International business, Accounting/Finance, Engineering, IT/Computer Science or equivalent
1-3 years of relevant work experience in international trade or international business
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
Other information:
Manage and ensure compliance for all international shipping and trade activities.
Coordinate with customs brokers and global trade specialists to facilitate timely, compliant import/export operations.
Classify goods and obtain necessary import/export authorizations and licenses.
Analyze trade data and prepare reports to meet government and regulatory requirements.
Build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and act as an ambassador for the Trade Operations team.
SAP helpful; not required.
