Title: Senior IT Project Manager

Location: New York, NY 10017- Onsite

Duration: 6 Months

Shift- Monday-Friday 9.00AM-5.00PM

Job Description:

Summary:

  • The IT Project Manager is responsible for the organization, tracking, and delivery of projects at the client that involve IT related activity.
  • Project manages complex to enterprise-wide projects.
  • Responsibilities for project management include overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, communication, control, and completion that is aligned with organizational project management practices.
  • For these projects, the Project Manager designs, communicates, and implements an operational plan; monitors progress and performance against the project plan; and creates the project budget and acts to ensure the project stays on schedule and within budget.
  • Identifies, develops, and gathers the resources, including staff, vendors and others, to complete the project which may include preparing designs and work specifications; developing project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials and equipment, and supervising project staff and external contractors.
  • Proactively identifies recommendations to make the solution better.
  • Operates at the 'subsystem level'.
  • Specialist professional with deep knowledge and actionable experience, and broad understanding of interdependencies beyond SME scope (domain level).

Responsibilities:

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Leads the planning and implementation of the project plan ensuring Project Management methodology is followed
  • Develops the project plan to include the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables; project tasks, resource requirements and allocation of tasks
  • Provides direction and support to project team members
  • Identifies, acquires and maintains resources necessary for project completion.
  • Negotiates conflicts and resolves issues that arise during this process
  • Leads meetings with project teams, steering and executive committees and vendors.
  • Solicits policy input and approval from stakeholders and users across the Center
  • Maintains awareness of team engagement; identifies and responds to key challenges and areas of opportunity.
  • Evaluates and assesses project plan post implementation and presents key findings/learning.
  • Develops budgets and monitors adherence to timelines and budgets throughout the project.

PROJECT DOCUMENTATION:

  • Creates, maintains and revises project documentation, including plans and timelines.
  • Tracks project milestones, identifies and resolves issues, risks and obstacles to meeting project goals and deadlines
  • Documents relevant workflows, project requirements, policy and procedure gaps, key decisions and necessary follow-up
  • Facilitates the gathering of information required for the level of effort analysis to estimate project cost, resources, time and deliverables.
  • Monitors ongoing compliance with project budget; identifies, communicates and resolves budgetary variances.
  • Reports to management and the client executive management as part of project planning and progress.

PROJECT COMMUNICATIONS

  • Maintains regular project updates and communications regarding project status and progress; reporting regularly on project progress to stakeholders, project team and steering and executive committees.
  • Coordinates with applicable stakeholders when developing and executing a multi-stage communications plan
  • Facilitates and oversees departmental pilot programs and Center-wide rollout. Resolves related troubleshooting and updates.

CHANGE MANAGEMENT

  • Provides effective structured change management (including contract addendums, budget addendums and technical design changes) support for all large-scale, client-facing projects or internal IS initiatives.
  • Develop specific change management strategies and plans, identify risks, coordinate with stakeholders and overcome obstacles to change

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Seven (7) - ten (10) years of experience
  • Proven experience in strategic planning; risk management and change management
  • Extensive technical background in all IT areas, including network infrastructure (and security), server technology, desktop technology, nurse call technologies, patient engagement technologies (TVR, Wayfinding, RTLS, digital signage, etc.)
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management including project management techniques and tools.

Required Education

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering or related field.
  • OR Six (6) to (8) years of job-related work experience can be accepted.
  • Preferred Certifications & Licensure:
  • Project Management Professional.
  • Other certifications: Microsoft, Cisco, Apple Certification.
