Job Details


We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to develop clear, accurate, and regulatory-compliant Instructions for Use (IFUs) for robotic medical devices and instruments. This includes authoring comprehensive system manuals, instrument guides, and accompanying ship-with documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, edit, and format IFUs using Adobe FrameMaker, InDesign, and XML

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and cross-functional teams to gather and verify technical content

  • Ensure documentation aligns with FDA and other regulatory standards

  • Work with designers to produce and validate technical illustrations (raster and vector)

  • Manage the validation, verification, and release process for technical documents

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior writers and contribute to product development efforts

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5 8 years of experience in technical writing (hardware, software, medical, or biotech preferred)

  • Proficiency in Adobe FrameMaker, InDesign, and Acrobat

  • Experience with XML, DITA, and content management systems (CMS)

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and grammar skills

  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with mechanical systems, complex devices, and localization workflows

  • Skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

Education:
Bachelor s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, or a related field preferred
