Salary: $110k - $115k/Year
Summary:
This individual will be working on a python based application that is used for non-destructive testing. Essentially, they make an MRI application for commercial jet engines.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $110k - $115k/ year. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Summary:
This individual will be working on a python based application that is used for non-destructive testing. Essentially, they make an MRI application for commercial jet engines.
Team Technical Stack:
- Python
- C++
- Solid understanding of OOP (object-oriented programming) concepts/software architecture Experience with source control (SVN is used, but github knowledge will work)
- Being able to self test code. Standard unit tests are not available due to the platform that is worked on.
- Peer reviewing code
- Debugging pre-existing code Nice to have skills (Skills that will be used regularly but can be learned)
- XML
- Numpy
- Pandas
- Qt/PyQt (or any UI based development experience)
- Self pacing: Most development is done solo, but developers are always around happy to help Working in a 3D model environment
Soft Skills:
- TCL: Primarily used as commands, but being able to read it as code can be helpful for rare instances of referring back to legacy code.
- Knowledge of image processing algorithms: This is the heart of what we do, but most of this is already done or most modules are done for us through Avizo
- Mathematics: Statistics concepts
- DICOM knowledge: Task dependent. Very important part of the workflow, but not necessarily a day to day requirement
