Responsibilities:
- Serve as the principal point of contact for all KHIE-related projects and communications with the Department for Medicaid Services.
- Ability to identify opportunities for improving Medicaid program efficiency through HIE data integration, collaboration and utilization.
- Ability to identify opportunities to leverage HIE data for Medicaid value add or cost efficiencies.
- Strong ability to liaise with Medicaid, Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), health plan payers, hospitals and other key healthcare stakeholders.
- Expertise in conveying the value of HIE to Medicaid officials, demonstrating its impact on cost, care coordination, and patient outcomes.
- Skilled in translating complex data insights into actionable recommendations for Medicaid stakeholders
- Ability to extrapolate and analyze Medicaid program data to showcase the value-add of the HIE.
- Develop reports and presentations illustrating how HIE improves health outcomes, enhances provider efficiency, and optimizes Medicaid spending.
- Collaborate with Medicaid program leaders to align data initiatives with policy goals.
- Provide training and guidance to Medicaid stakeholders on leveraging HIE capabilities.
- Advocate for data-driven decision-making, reinforcing the role of HIE in improving Medicaid services.
- Ensure clarity in messaging to bridge the gap between technical data insights and Medicaid program needs
- Collaborate with policymakers and healthcare leaders to drive improvements in data reporting and utilization.
- Coordinate stakeholder meetings, develop agendas, prepare materials, and document outcomes and follow-up items.
- Translate Medicaid business needs into actionable KHIE project plans and work closely with technical teams to implement solutions.
- Track and report project performance metrics, risks, and status updates to both KHIE and Medicaid leadership.
- Facilitate the development and execution of interagency agreements, scopes of work, and policy alignment.
- Support funding initiatives, grant management, and compliance reporting tied to Medicaid-related HIE projects.
- Monitor and assess ongoing Medicaid program and regulatory changes that impact KHIE initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, Health Administration, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing multi-stakeholder initiatives and navigating complex organizational structures.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of Medicaid programs, HIE operations, and health information technology policies.
- PMP, CAPM, or related project management certification.
- Experience working with Medicaid agencies or federally funded health IT programs.
- Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to health information exchange and Medicaid data.
