Required Skills and Experience:

  • 2 5+ years of experience in .NET development, including recent work with .NET 6/7/8/10.
  • Proficiency in C#, MVC and/or Blazor.
  • Familiarity with legacy system modernization and Web Forms.
  • Experience with JavaScript and HTML/CSS.
  • Exposure to WCF services and GitHub Enterprise.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG 2.1 AA).

A state workforce agency is modernizing its Unemployment Insurance Employer Portal. As a Mid-Level .NET Developer, you will support the modernization of the portal's frontend from legacy .NET Framework 4.8 (ASP.NET Web Forms in VB.NET) to .NET 10 using Blazor or MVC. You'll collaborate with senior developers other team members to deliver secure, accessible, and scalable web applications that integrate with both legacy systems and modern infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop frontend components using .NET 10 (Blazor or MVC), C# and JavaScript.
  • Assist in converting legacy Web Forms to modern C# architecture.
  • Integrate frontend with WCF services and a state identity management system for authentication.
  • Participate in iterative development cycles with regular demos and feedback.
  • Contribute to unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Maintain technical documentation and follow secure coding practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, QA, and state IT staff.
