Job ID: H#12943 - Sr. Business Data Analyst
Location - MUST WORK HYBRID IN CHARLOTTE, NC OR HARTFORD, CT (FINAL INTERVIEW WILL BE ON SITE).
PLEASE NOTE: This is a 6 month contract-to-hire and needs to meet Client full-time conversion policies. Those dependent on a work permit sponsor now or anytime in the future (ie H1B, OPT, CPT, etc) do not meet Client requirements for this opening.
WE DO NOT WANT ETL DEVELOPERS OR CLOUD ENGINEERS
- Data Warehouse Expertise Must have strong foundational understanding of data warehouse concepts, with hands-on experience in at least one platform such as Teradata, Oracle, or Snowflake.
- Advanced SQL Skills Expert in writing complex SQL queries involving multiple tables, joins, and conditional logic to support deep data analysis and transformation validation.
- Data Analysis & ETL Mapping Performs in-depth data warehouse-level analysis, interpreting data from databases, tables, and structures; documents source-to-target mappings and transformation logic.
- Multi-Format Data Handling Experience analyzing and transforming data from varied file types such as JSON and XML, in addition to relational tables and flat files.
- Documentation Proficiency Skilled in creating mapping documentation (ETL rules, transformations) and elicitation artifacts like use cases and functional requirement documents.
- Industry Experience Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance background is strongly preferred; banking/finance may be acceptable if analytical depth and adaptability are high.
- Collaboration & Environment Works closely with data modelers and development teams supporting enterprise data warehouse builds for reporting and analytics, translating incoming source data into usable warehouse structures
