Lead IT Process Analyst

The Lead IT Process Analyst will ensure adherence to software license agreements and compliance with relevant licensing regulations. Will collaborate closely with various internal teams to assess license positions and make recommendations regarding software licensing/cost optimization.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate license counts for accountable software titles
  • Input license entitlements into the enterprise Software Catalog
  • Establish/maintain/optimize associated license positions
  • Assist software owners with understanding their software portfolios and license positions
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of software licenses
  • Provide guidance and training to internal teams on software license compliance, including license management, usage tracking, and renewal processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to streamline software license management and compliance activities.

Required skills:
  • Software License Management with proven ability to create an effective license position for a Tier 1 publishers (such as Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, etc)
  • Advanced experience with popular licensing metrics such as per core, core factors, core limits, virtualized deployments (cluster/host), containers, named user, user, processor, concurrent use, peak use, PVU, RVU.
  • Experience with top tier publisher agreement terms (EA / EAS / MPSA / SCE / ELA / ACP / ETLA / OTN / EULA).
  • Experience using SAM platforms such as Flexera, ServiceNow SAM Pro, Snow, Aspera-USU, or similar.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a Business or Technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math) and a minimum of six years of work experience in technical infrastructure, IT Process design/process improvement or IT Project Management positions
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of eight years of related work experience in technical infrastructure, IT process design/process improvement or IT project management position.
