Job Description

Position Summary:

The Embedded Software Development Supervisor will be responsible for managing a team of embedded firmware developers with a team size of up to 8. This team will be responsible for creating requirements, developing code, creating and maintaining documentation, and conducting testing in various phases of the project including unit tests and functional testing. Low-level platform code as well as higher level application code will all be in the realm of responsibility for this team.

  • Technical competencies
    • Minimum 7 years experience with C++ on embedded Linux platforms or C on bare metal platforms. A combination of the two is acceptable
    • Minimum 7 years industry experience in software testing concepts including black box, white box, and grey box testing approaches
    • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, including pipelines and task boards

Additional duties assigned as necessary.

Education & Experience:

Bachelors of Science in one of the following degrees is required for this position.
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Computer Engineering
  • Computer Science

Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the work day. Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting up to 25 pounds for files, computer printouts on occasion. Frequent use of computer and telephone.

Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
