Job Description:
Technical Writer
8-10 week contract
100% REMOTE
Seeking an energetic, innovative, and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our Innovation Studio team as a contractor supporting Program Echo. The ideal candidate will create, review, edit, and publish technical documentation that will be externally facing.
This role focuses on developing launch-ready documentation that enables certified System Integrators (SIs) and Financial Institutions (FIs) to deliver Products through the Developer Portal - a critical component of company's strategic partner-led delivery model.
Responsibilities
Interview developers, product managers, implementation engineers, and other SMEs to document technical details for product setup, configuration, and deployment.
Research, write, edit, and review partner- and customer-facing implementation guides within defined timelines, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and technical precision.
Produce diagrams, screenshots, and examples to illustrate concepts when necessary.
Coordinate across Engineering, Partner Enablement, and Service Delivery teams to ensure all documentation requirements are captured, accurate, and aligned to company's delivery workflows.
Develop and maintain structured documentation for the following deliverables:
o FI Implementation Guide - For financial institutions implementing CEPs via SI partners.
o SI Partner Guide - For partner system integrators performing implementations through the Developer Portal.
o Internal Sales Guide - Outlining the contracting and engagement model for CEP launches with SI partners.
Plan and manage documentation projects, including defining audiences, performing task analysis, and creating project schedules.
Conduct peer reviews and feedback loops to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to company's documentation standards.
Ensure all security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy policies are followed throughout documentation development.
Experience and Knowledge
Education:
Bachelor's degree, ideally in Technical Communication, Rhetoric and Writing Studies, English, Communication, or a related field.
Experience:
Typically 5+ years of technical writing experience (or an advanced degree and 3+ years of experience).
Strong understanding of software development processes, SDLC, and technical workflows.
Experience creating documentation for APIs, SDKs, developer portals, or integration ecosystems.
Familiarity with programming concepts and API documentation best practices.
Experience collaborating across engineering and product teams in a SaaS or enterprise environment.
Knowledge of banking or fintech delivery models preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill technical information for multiple audiences.
Highly organized, proactive, and effective at managing multiple documentation projects simultaneously.
