Job Overview & Responsibilities

Mythics is seeking an experienced Oracle GoldenGate SME with experience designing, implementing, and integrating Oracle GoldenGate for Big Data with AWS Streams (Apache Kafka and Kinesis). This individual will be responsible for leading the architecture, analysis, design, development, integration, and overall implementation of Oracle GoldenGate for Big Data with one of our Federal clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Oracle GoldenGate design, architecture, engineering, and administration including the installation, configuration, integration, upgrades, patching, migration, capacity planning, performance tuning
  • Implement Oracle GoldenGate for Big Data to integrate an on-prem Oracle database with AWS Streams (Apache Kafka and Kinesis)
  • Utilize network troubleshooting tools and techniques
  • Responsible for monitoring and applying resolutions
  • Performance tuning and optimization
  • Create and maintain documentation for GoldenGate design and architecture
  • Lead technical meetings, such as design workshops, troubleshooting sessions, etc.
  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures
  • Provide regular status updates and reports (weekly/monthly)

Qualifications
  • Must have hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate for Big Data
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of progressive technology consulting and engineering experience
  • 6+ years of Oracle DBA and GoldenGate experience
  • 1+ year of Big Data and Streaming Data experience
  • Hands-on experience and expertise with Oracle GoldenGate
    • GoldenGate installation, configuration and replication setup
    • GoldenGate troubleshooting of Oracle GoldenGate Extracts, Data-Pumps and replicate
  • Experience with Big Data platforms, AWS Streams, Apache Kafka is a plus
  • Experience supporting interfaces and back-end integration within applications
  • Hands on experience working in Unix/Linux operating systems
  • Strong skills in SQL, Python, Perl, Unix/Linux Shell, tuning and debugging
  • Experience with Oracle database replication
  • Proven ability to prioritize critical workload
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
