Equifax is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Strategic Analytics team. This is a great career opportunity for an experienced professional to apply their skills to high-impact strategic initiatives driving our organizational strategy and product roadmaps. You'll be part of a close-knit team, leveraging the latest technology to drive critical business decisions and provide specialized insights across the organization.

What you'll do
  • Serve as the lead data scientist using advanced analytics to evaluate new data sources and provide recommendations on value of data sources to guide organizational strategy and product roadmaps.
  • Lead the analytical strategy on critical capabilities, applying deep expertise in data structures, algorithms, and predictive models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leaders to define business problems and develop predictive models, risk assessments, and other analytical solutions.
  • Translate complex findings and insights into compelling narratives that communicate the strategic impact of our work for senior management, stakeholders, and industry regulators.
  • Mentor and guide the work of other data scientists, providing technical expertise and ensuring the quality and accuracy of deliverables.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytical processes and best practices across our business.

What experience you need
  • BS degree in a STEM major or equivalent discipline; Master's Degree strongly preferred
  • 7-10 years of experience in a related role, with experience demonstrating leadership capabilities
  • Proven track record of designing and developing predictive models in real-world applications
  • Experience with model performance evaluation and predictive model optimization for accuracy and efficiency

  • Deep understanding of risk management in Banking, Lending, Utility, Telco Industries
  • Experience in ML modeling, bias correction, reasoning, and entire lifecycle of models
  • Sophisticated programming skills in Python and experience with BigQuery or other large-scale data platforms
