API Solutions Engineer
Location: Columbus OH, (Day1 onsite)
Job type: Contract/W2

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Technically strong and collaborative API Solutions Engineer to lead the design and development of new APIs that aggregate and enhance our existing services to meet the strategic needs of the Ventures Business.
  • This role involves deep analysis, architectural design, and close coordination with cross functional and offshore teams.
  • 3 Plus years of experience in backend/API development with Spring Boot and Node.js.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and API gateways.
  • Experience with architecture design patterns and scalable system design.
  • Proficiency in BDD testing frameworks Cucumber, JBehave
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and cloud native development.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Design new APIs to aggregate current APIs to fit the requirements of the Ventures Business.
  • Analyse the current API landscape & SoRs to identify the depth & breadth of new APIs to be built
  • Enforce Engineering Rigor to ensure quality of the deliverables
  • Work with Product team and coordinate requirements with Offshore team

Mandatory Skills:

  • Spring Boot Advanced- More than 3 year of project experience
  • Node.js Advanced- More than 3 year of project experience
  • Architecture Design Patterns Advanced- More than 3 year of project experience
  • BDD Testing Advanced- More than 3 year of project experience
  • Google Cloud Platform Intermediate - Having at least 1 year of project experience

Secondary Skills

  • Google Cloud Certification (Apigee Certified API Engineer)
  • Knowledge of Developer Portals.
