SAP ABAP Developer

Main Sail is seeking an SAP ABAP developer to support a multi-year U.S. Army Enterprise effort within a complex and demanding environment.
Responsibilities:
The SAP ABAP developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom SAP solutions using ABAP programming. This role collaborates closely with functional consultants and end users to support business processes, enhance standard functionality, and develop customer reports, interfaces, forms, and enhancements across various SAP modules. Key responsibilities include design, code, test, and deploy custom SAP programs using ABAP including classical and object-oriented ABAP. The role expectations include collaboration with functional teams to gather and analyze requirements and provision of technical solutions. The developer documents all technical designs and maintains development logs per change management protocols. Performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshoot of ABAP programs is a key function in this role.
Required Skills:
Bachelor s Degree
5+ years of experience in the following:
- SAP application development efforts
- Progressive experience from work as a systems analyst or programmer on various system configurations to leadership advisory roles
5+ years of ABAP Development experience
Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 4-5 days per week on-site/local only
Period: ASAP with additional option years through 4/30/27 likely.
