Role: Desktop Support Engineer - Bio-Pharmaceutical
The Desktop Support Engineer provides technical support and assistance to end-users regarding hardware, software, and network-related issues. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral equipment, ensuring that users can perform their work efficiently and with minimal IT disruptions.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to and resolve support requests via phone, email, or in person.
Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on Windows and/or Mac operating systems.
Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and passwords in Active Directory.
Provide support for Microsoft Office Suite, email clients (e.g., Outlook), and other standard business applications.
Ensure all desktops are updated with the latest security patches and antivirus software.
Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees, including hardware setup and retrieval.
Document issues and solutions in the ticketing system.
Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues.
Maintain inventory of IT assets and manage hardware repairs and replacements.
