Senior Controls & Power Systems Engineer
Job Details
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Controls & Power Systems Engineer to lead engineering, controls programming, and commissioning activities across utility-scale renewable energy, BESS, and power generation projects. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in PLC/SCADA development, industrial communication protocols, electrical/power systems engineering, and field commissioning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 11+ years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automation (Schneider platforms preferred).
- Expert-level knowledge of Modbus, DNP3, and industrial communication protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Ignition SCADA and HMI development.
- Strong background in power systems, utility-scale renewable energy, and BESS technologies.
- Experience with grid interconnection, utility standards, and commissioning workflows.
- Proven experience supporting large-scale EPC, solar, BESS, or power plant projects.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with FAT/SAT, PPA/LGIA testing, and OEM verification processes.
- NERC CIP cybersecurity awareness preferred.
- Experience with Github/CI-CD and engineering computational tools (ETAP, EDISON) a plus.
